Mid-Week Guided Birding On The Canso Peninsula, Nova Scotia's Most Eastern Point

The Canso Peninsula is the most easterly point on mainland North America. Here, birders can expect the unexpected as a myriad of different species find temporary shelter! Expect the unexpected!

Sightings of rare vagrant birds are frequent in the fall especially after storms. Spectacular migations of rare shore birds will delight you in the fall (such as the Northern gannet at right).

Enjoy the guided bird walks from shoreline to deep woodland with our knowledgeable NSBS local guide. With over 210 species of birds in the Canso area you are sure to add to your “lifers” list!
